Situated in the Horn of Africa, Asmara in Eritrea will be Air Arabia’s seventh destination to Africa from its hub in Sharjah.

Air Arabia will fly once a week on Sundays from Sharjah International Airport at 10pm.

Eritrea is quickly becoming “an important market for the UAE,” Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia said in a statement.

“Through the launch of this route, we look to boost the trade and bilateral relations between the two countries, and expand our footprint in the African continent.
