The UAE has ratified a number of international agreements, including one that establishes a UAE embassy in the Maldives.
The UAE and Russia will cooperate on industrial, technical and scientific cooperation between civil industries companies, one of a number of new federal decrees ratifying international and bilateral agreements between the UAE and friendly nations.
The decrees, which were issued by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, on Sunday, include the establishment of a UAE embassy in Male, the capital of Maldives.
Additionally, the decrees also include an amendment to the charter of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, which changes its name to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. The Islamic Summit Conference will also take place every two years, rather than the current three.
