3Com has launched a free two-phase technology assessment service for enterprises who are not yet fully IT developed and who are confused with issues surrounding e-business
3Com corporation has just launched a free service, e-Audit, designed to more easily help companies understand the key issues surrounding e-business. The programme is aimed at commercial organisations and enterprises and was developed specifically for business leaders within companies that do not have a dedicated IT manager.“With the e-audit initiative, 3Com is taking the lead in simplifying technology for enterprises – by talking to company leaders about what they want to achieve as a business rather than throwing complex technology terms at them, e-audit demystifies e-business,” said Rima Manna, regional marketing manager, 3Com MENA. E-audit works in two phases. The first poses questions about which technical capabilities might aid a business in the future. “People don’t need to know how technology works, they want to know what it does for them,” said Manna. The second phase is a report on the first, issuing recommendations that, if followed, will enable a company to progress in a digital economy, according to 3Com. “E-audit will help many companies to benchmark the efficiency of their current systems and identify opportunities to use technology to improve their profitability,” said Manna.
