Oman reports 292 new Covid-19 cases, total rises to 5,671

In terms of the new infections, the ministry confirmed that 119 involved Omanis and the remainder (173) were expatriates.

Oman’s Ministry of Health has announced 292 new positive cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections up to 5,671 in the Sultanate.

The ministry has also revealed that a 57-year-old resident has become the latest victim to succumb to the Covid-19 virus, with the country’s death toll now standing at 26.

In terms of the new infections, the ministry confirmed that 119 involved Omanis and the remainder (173) were expatriates.

The ministry also said that 1,574 cases in total have recovered from coronavirus.

There are currently almost five million confirmed cases of coronavirus across the world, with over 320,000 reported deaths.
