Ministry of Health and Prevention has initiated legal action against the person who made the 'groundless' claim about medical supplies, and the one who shot the video
The UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has dismissed claims made on a video circulated on social media about the availability of medical masks in one of its hospitals.
In a statement on news agency WAM, the ministry said the claims made by the person in the video - where it was alleged there were no medical masks in one of its hospitals - were "groundless".
The ministry said all hospitals and medical centres are well-equipped with all necessary supplies, including medical masks.
In addition, the ministry said officials are coordinating with all hospitals on a daily basis to ensure their readiness in terms of equipment, medical supplies and staff.
MoHAP urged members of the public not to circulate false and misleading information or otherwise they could be held liable.
The ministry has initiated legal action against the person who made the claim and the one who shot the video.
