More than 50,000 Syrian refugees have crossed into Iraq's Kurdish region in less than two weeks, according to official figures. Authorities are rushing to house the refugees in more permanent camps as the civil war in Syria intensifies, driving huge numbers to the camps provided by the UNHCR.
