GITEX Saudi visitors in search of the latest notebook PC models will be in for a treat if they head to Arabian Business Machines’ (ABM) booth. The Riyadh-based company is confident of proving a hit with both consumers and businesses at this year’s exhibition by showcasing the latest range of laptops from mobile PC vendor powerhouse Toshiba.
ABM is an authorised in-country distribution partner of Toshiba and has seen the laptop market soar during the past 12 months following strong demand from the Saudi retail and business-to-business sectors. Mobile technology is set to be a key theme during this year’s show and ABM is out to emphasise the cutting-edge features that have made the Toshiba brand a hit among Saudi notebook buyers.
“At GITEX we plan to get in touch with our key clients and exhibit our impressive range of Toshiba notebooks featuring advanced technology,” said M. Najamuddin Qureshi, marcomms manager at ABM. “We are displaying the complete new era of Toshiba, which includes the Qosmio, Portege, Tecra and Satellite series of notebooks.”
ABM has landed several awards from Toshiba for its market development efforts in the Kingdom during the past two years, particularly in the audio visual and multi-function printer segments where it has enjoyed strong sales growth.
The company is keen to demonstrate the breadth of its Toshiba offering at GITEX Saudi Arabia and reaffirm its position as a leading provider of hardware and technical support. “We are the authorised Toshiba distributor and service provider for notebook PCs, digital copiers, digital facsimiles and digital projectors,” added Qureshi. “We are promoting the advance mobile computing Toshiba notebooks with secure ‘EasyGuard’ technology that fulfils the promise of carefree computing for customers.”
ABM is part of The Olayan Group and has been in operation for over 25 years. It serves resellers across the Kingdom through a number of support offices and showrooms in Riyadh, Khobar, Jeddah, Hofuf and Jobail.
The company splits its business into five separate divisions, including a unit that is focused on office automation products, and another dedicated solely to Toshiba notebooks. ABM also runs two security units and a technical service department for Toshiba kit. The technical centre also supplies spare parts and offers a variety of reseller training courses.
