Dubai-based Strategic Food International Company (SIFC) has implemented an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution from SSA Global in just four months.
One of the largest biscuit and wafer manufacturers in the region, SIFC went live with SSA’s ERP solution at the end of 2005.
It deployed the software application with the aim of driving co- rporate growth through better production planning and forecasting, as part of a overall strategy to enhance productivity levels, save costs and improve performance management.
“With the flexible architectu- re and modern user interfaces in SSA ERP, we’ve achived considerable competitive advantage,” said Munesh Bhat, SFIC’s financial controller and manager for the SSA ERP project.
“We now know our performance drivers and we are able to take the proactive measures that help us to adapt better to changing customer demands and support our long-term growth strategy,” he added.
SFIC is using the finance, distribution and process manufacturing modules in SSA ERP. These modules automate key processes, such as improving order processing, optimising procurement scheduling, production planning and forecasting.
Its commitment to delivery dates should also ensure that SFIC reduces incidences of wastage and improve financial control, according to the firm.
“SSA ERP can help companies like SFIC achieve a broad range of business process improvements,” said Eric Smith, general manager, SSA Global, Middle East.
“The combination of best-in-class ERP functionality and SSA Global’s implementation expertise is helping companies worldwide reap broad business benefits,” he added.
Because of the speed of implementation and the capacity for integration, SFIC is now considering installing SSA Corporate Performance Management and SSA Warehouse Management Systems, according to SSA Global.
