Dubai gov’t launches new app to help mobile users report spam text messages

TRA app also allows customers to report areas of poor mobile coverage

UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has launched its new mobile app which will allow users to report spam text messages.

Initially available on Android, the free app allows users to report nuisance messages to the TRA, who will in turn take action against the senders.

The app also allows users to report areas of poor mobile network signal coverage in the UAE.

The iPhone version is expected to be available in the coming weeks.
