Dubai’s Everdome launches first in-world game experience for NFT owners

Everdome Genesis Collection NFT holders and Land NFT holders were granted access to this exclusive Moon Exploration game for 24 hours

Everdome, a Dubai-based metaverse project, has recently released its first beta in-world gaming experience for its nearly 20,000 NFT holding community.

Everdome Genesis Collection NFT holders and Land NFT holders were granted access to this exclusive Moon Exploration game for 24 hours, Everdome said in an emailed statement.

Evernauts, as the community is called, could jump into their ‘Endurance’ Moon Skimmers and race to collect checkpoints against their fellow community members in a real play-to-earn metaverse experience.

Community members were also able to try a Moonwalk adventure contest for some further true immersive play-to-earn action inside an hyper-realistic digital environment, the statement said.

While the experience had an arcade game-style theme, it was located at a real Moon location, in the vicinity of the Shackleton crater, inline with Everdome’s commitment to hyper-realistic principles.

‘’This release of an Everdome in-world game experience represented the first time all of our access NFT & Landholding community entered Everdome at the same time. The test served primarily as a network scaling exercise, but also gave our community a first taste of our immersive gameplay direction,” Everdome’s Worldbuilding Director Lukasz Alwast said.

Using Everdome’s in-world chat, the entrants engaged in pre-race banter before blasting off of the Moon to get involved in two separate Moon exploration contests, the statement said, adding that members of the Everdome community were then able to enjoy their exclusive access to these in-world game experiences as the metaverse project stops off on the Moon on their way to a metaverse Mars landing later in the year.

Entrants the competed against on another for a prize pool in the thousands of US dollars, across two separate Lunar exploration-themed game experiences, the statement added.

“The results of this first beta test were really encouraging, with almost 9000 games played over a 24 hour period and an average in-experience duration of 75 minutes per player. It really shows how Everdome is capable of creating ‘sticky’ experiences to engage the most modern of digital audiences,” Everdome COO Jeremy Lopez said.
