Forefront/ Fujitsu wants more of the imaging market

The company have just unveiled a series of impressive scanners that it hopes will ensure that makes some serious inroads into a growing market segment.

The current trend amongst large organisations, and particular governmental entities, towards a paperless working environment has not gone unnoticed in the Forefront/ Fujitsu camp at Gitex this year. The company have just unveiled a series of impressive scanners that it hopes will ensure that makes some serious inroads into a growing market segment. “Forefront has been representing Fujitsu for almost 8 years, and this new set of products represents our approach to this job,” commented George Karam, managing director of Forefront Technologies. “We have noticed a big trend that we want to take advantage of, and these new scanners will help us achieve that aim.” The scanners that Karam is talking about include the fi-4640S and the fi-4340C, and a third aimed directly at the consumer segment. The trend towards the paperless environment, according to Karam, isn’t just limited to large organisations either. He points to the fact that many people on the consumer level, are also interested in scanning in documentation that they would otherwise have to store in a more clumsy and inefficient manner. “
