The final round of judging for the inaugural Campaign Awards took place in Dubai last week, with jurors rolling their sleeves up for a marathon 11-hour judging session at the Fairmont Hotel.
Bruce Crouch, executive creative director of the Shanghai-based Nitro network, David Pattison, chief executive officer of PHD Worldwide, and Dominic Mills, editorial director of Haymarket Publishing in the UK, were among those who flew in. They were joined by 14 jurors from across the region as they worked through 13 hotly-debated categories seeking out the best in advertising, media and PR creativity.
The ceremony takes place on 31 January at the Al Joharah Ballroom at Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah. It will see shortlisted teams from across the Middle East win gold, silver or bronze awards, depending on the quality of entries.
However, in at least one category the judges did not award any trophies at all. The jury’s votes are currently being scrutinised by an independent auditor.Tables for the event have now sold out.
