Christopher Sims has stepped down as CEO of Aldar Properties, after less than a year in the job.
Mystery surrounds the reasons for the sudden departure of Sims, but a company spokesman said he would remain with the developer as an ‘advisor’.
Aldar’s chairman, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, is holding the position until a replacement for Sims is found.
“The changes are due to restructuring within the company,” said Ousama Ghannoum, the company’s marketing and communications director.
“Mr Sims is still with the company; he spoke at the recent City Expansion conference in Abu Dhabi, and is an advisor to the board,” he added.
