Hotec Middle East, the region’s B2B hotel forum, looks set to see a record number of participants at its third edition, taking place at the Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers in Abu Dhabi from April 7-9, 2006.
An expected total of 160 delegates, representing 45 hotel groups throughout the Middle East, Africa and India, and 60 of the world’s leading hotel suppliers, will hold a series of pre-organised, one-to-one meetings over a concentrated two day period. The organisers expect around 900 meetings to be held, representing the highest total so far for Hotec Middle East.
“The people who are driving this rapidly growing industry in the Middle East are naturally pretty busy right now. As a result, they increasingly recognise the time efficiency benefits of participating in Hotec. Delegates from both hotel groups and suppliers are reserving their places earlier than ever before,” said Jonathan Needs, director of Hotec organisers, Pelican Events.
In addition, Hotec will again incorporate a seminar programme, with three individual presentations and a special food & beverage discussion panel. Hosted by media sponsors, Hotelier Middle East, confirmed speakers so far include Guy Wilkinson from PKF The Consulting House, who will present his annual report on new hotel projects in the region, and Declan Monahan from Marketboomer International, talking on the impact of e-procurement and e-supply on the Middle East hotel industry.
F&B panellists will include Has Herges from Rotana, Jean-Michel Offe from Shangri-La and Willi Elsener from Jumeirah.
