Side Effects CEO steps down to start Houdini Internet company

Greg Hermanovic has quit as CEO of Side Effects software so that he can launch a company that will put Houdini technology/music on the Internet.

Greg Hermanovic has quit as CEO of Side Effects software so that he can launch a company that will put Houdini technology/music on the Internet.Hermanovic plans to develop and distribute products that allow people to combine music with interactive 3D visuals that can then be shared over the internet. The products will be based on Houdini technology and are expected to be in development for the remainder of the year, followed by a beta period early next year.”There will be a dynamic synergy between Side Effects and the new company as my team and I focus and expand the Houdini technology in new directions,” said Hermanovic. “Look for some exciting innovations to come out of this venture that will benefit both companies as well as the industry at large.” Hermanovic will remain involved in the operations of side effects on a part-time basis and will continue as an active member of the Board of Directors. President and COO, Kim Davidson, will continue to run the company’s daily operations.
