The UAE could experience heavy rain and thunderstorms this week according to National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts.
Speaking to media in the UAE, a spokesperson for the NCM said heavy rains and thunderstorms could hit parts of the UAE. Friday and Saturday are most likely to see the biggest impact from weather conditions.
Tuesday saw light rainfall in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The rains will intensify on Friday and Saturday, with northern emirates likely to see the most unstable conditions.

As well as thunder and lightning in the northern parts of the country there is expected to be a drop in temperatures by up to four degrees.
The NCM said the United Arab Emirates would be hit by an “extension of upper air jet stream from the west accompanied with different cloud formation flow”.
The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times on both the days in the Arabian Gulf and slight to in Oman sea.
Unstable weather conditions last week led to a yellow alert for weather as rain and falling temperatures hit parts of the country. Parks were closed in Sharjah and motorists were warned to drive carefully on roads across the United Arab Emirates.
