Oracle Middle East is ringing the changes with Ayman Abouseif being promoted to run its Gulf region activities. Abouseif, who was most recently senior marketing director for Oracle Middle East and Africa, has been made managing director for the company’s GCC operation. Husam Dajani is understood to be continuing in his role as vice president of Oracle Middle East and Africa.

Abouseif joined Oracle in 1998, having previously held a number of sales management roles for NCR in the Middle East.

One of his first tasks could be to win over SAP customers. Oracle recently launched an initiative aimed at SAP R/3 customers with licence credit incentives being offered to them if they migrate to Oracle’s platform.
