Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will meet with Pope Francis today in the Vatican.

According to state news agency WAM, Sheikh Mohammed will discuss bilateral ties between the UAE and the Vatican, and the two figures will also discuss the promotion of dialogue, coexistence and tolerance, values that are held by all religions.

Sheikh Mohammed will also meet with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin.

Later on, during a working visit to Italy, he will also meet the Italian prime minister, Matteo Renzi.
