Dr Saleh Al Hashemi, former senior exec at Abu Dhabi’s Executive Council, leads capital markets and securities subsidiaries

Abu Dhabi Financial Group hires new chief for business units

Abu Dhabi Financial Group (ADFG) has appointed Dr Saleh Al Hashemi as managing director and CEO of Integrated Capital, the company’s capital markets business.

He will also become chairman of Integrated Securities, ADFG’s securities business which provides clients with the opportunity to trade on UAE, GCC and international markets.

Al Hashemi was previously executive director of Infrastructure and Environment at the General Secretariat of Abu Dhabi’s Executive Council, a statement said.

Commenting on the appointment, Jassim Alseddiqi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Financial Group, said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Saleh Al Hashemi. He brings extensive experience and expertise from holding key positions within the business, academic and government sectors, and has the calibre to reinforce the status of Integrated Capital and Integrates Securities as leaders within the region’s financial services industry.”

Al Hashemi added: “ADFG has a tremendous track record and an even brighter future. Based on the vision and conviction of ADFG’s leadership and the talent of the wider team, Integrated Capital and Integrated Securities have emerged to become leaders within the UAE financial services sector.
