Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), master developer of major tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, has announced the launch of a new block for individual sale at the Saadiyat Beach Residences.

The development compromises six residential buildings in an exclusive gated community and comes following the launch and full sale of the first block, which was released in October 2013.

Prices start from $462,000 (AED1.7m), Construction Week Online reported on Wednesday.

Available in the size of one to four-bedroom apartments, residents can also take advantage of the various facilities available within the community, including a retail cafe, swimming pools, tennis and basketball courts, multi-purpose courts and fully-equipped gymnasiums.

Ahmed Al Fahim, executive director of marketing, communications, sales and leasing at TDIC, said: “Our decision to release a new set of apartments for sale at Saadiyat Beach Residences has been driven by the market demand which we saw with the sale of the first building.

“We see that there’s a real desire for our high-quality products in addition to the opening and upcoming openings of a number of educational, leisure and service entities which offer an investment opportunity that will appreciate and promise high returns on the investment.”

Designed by GHD, one of the world's leading engineering, architecture and environmental consulting companies, the apartments feature premium finishes and fittings. They range from 90 to 235 sq m and are available in two styles.

In 2014, a number of community services and developments will be open to serve residents in the area, such as Saadiyat Redwood Nursery, which will be managed by Kids First Group; Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, a leading UK independent school; and New York University Abu Dhabi.

A retail centre offering day-to-day conveniences is also set to be developed and will feature a grocery store, pharmacy, hair and nail salon and coffee shop.
