Developer announces construction progress on centrepiece of much-delayed Acacia Avenues in Jumeirah
Abyaar Real Estate Development Company has announced that the centrepiece of its delayed project in Jumeirah, Dubai is set to be completed in the third quarter of 2015.
The company said in a statement that it is in the process of finalising Hilliana Tower, located at the heart of its Acacia Avenues Project.
Reaching a height of 104 metres and providing 28 residential storeys, the project was first launched in 2007 but it was one of many to fall victim to the global financial crisis.
The statement said: “Currently the main focus is directed towards finalising Hilliana Tower... overall construction work of Hilliana is in the final stages of completion. Also, it is notable that the residential units of the tower were sold entirely within a short period of time.”
Acacia Avenues was launched as the first project in Jumeirah to offer freehold investment and was said to be worth $550 million.
At the time of the launch, it was described as a first-class community, with pedestrian access throughout, and offering a luxurious health club, swimming pools, spa, squash court, cafes and shops.
