Notebook vendor Acer is launching a new customer service initiative as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen its position in the Middle East market.
Starting mid-August, the firm is running a three-day special service programme, called the Acer Care Camp, through which it will offer customers free servicing and maintenance for their computers.
The camp takes place in the showrooms and outlets of Acer's major channel partners, which include Jumbo Electronics and Redington Distribution.
"With customer service taking precedence in today's competitive IT market, Acer's service programme is a realisation of our long-term commitment to empowering customers," said Bernard Lobo, service account manager, customer service division at Acer Middle East.
"We want to offer something extraordinary and the ‘Acer Care Camp' is just that, an opportunity to provide a value-added service to all our users," he added.
Acer was recently judged one of the best companies in the region for post-sales support, according to a recent investigation by Windows Middle East magazine (August edition).
The vendor has said it believes its efforts in providing high quality customer service will enable it to hold on to its leadership in the Middle East market. Acer holds the number two and three spots in the Middle East notebook and PC markets respectively. For all the latest tech news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
