Robert Raiola has taken up the newly created post and is charged with driving the software vendor's marketing programmes across the region.
"The creation of this new position underscores the importance of the EMEA region to Adobe and will help to advance the company's goal of better serving our customers across Europe," Peter Isaacson, vice president of worldwide field marketing at Adobe, said in a statement last week.
Raiola said he was very excited by the opportunities presented by this position.
Raiola's remit will also include the development of markets in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
However, he is likely have a tough time capitalising on the potential growth of emerging markets such as the Middle East, as the level of software piracy, especially that of Adobe's own software, is as high as 80% in some countries. For all the latest tech news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
