UAE-based low cost carrier set to add fourth destination in the Ukraine from October 12

Air Arabia to launch Odessa flights in October

Sharjah-based low cost carrier Air Arabia on Saturday announced that it will add its fourth destination in Ukraine in October.

The airline said it will launch flights to Odessa, making it the first UAE airline to fly there.

Flights to the Ukraine city will start on October 12 marking Air Arabia's 76th destination worldwide, the airline said in a statement.

The carrier will offer services to Odessa on Tuesdays and Fridays, it added.

The launch of services to Odessa increases Air Arabia's flights to Ukraine to 10 weekly flights, complementing existing services to Kiev, Donetsk and Kharkiv.

Adel Ali, group CEO, Air Arabia, said: "The launch of this new service will further strengthen our current flights to Ukraine offering customers wider choice of affordable air travel.

"We are confident that the launch of flights to Odessa will strongly contribute to the trade and tourism ties of both UAE and Ukraine.

"The launch of Odessa service is a continuation of Air Arabia's promise to customer's to expand its Eastern European presence."

The fourth largest city in Ukraine, Odessa is home to one million residents, and is a popular tourist destination.
