Al-Futtaim Panatech, the sole distributor of Panasonic products in the UAE, has kick-started a retail roadshow showcasing the vendor’s latest Lumix camera offerings, which feature Mega optical image stabiliser (OIS) technology.

Special kiosks, manned by two trained staff, will be set up at electronics retailers across the UAE, educating customers on the revolutionary technology, which Al-Futtaim Panatech claims has the ability to provide ‘clear and beautiful pictures’.

“It is common knowledge that precision and quality of a picture can be compromised due to shaky hands. We at Al-Futtaim Panatech are delighted to be able to now offer customers in UAE special models from Lumix that combats this problem,” said K. Venkataraman, general manager at Al-Futtaim Panatech.

“The optical image stabiliser incorporated in Lumix is surely the answer to great pictures. Our customers can now be rest assured of top clarity irrespective of jittery hands or unfavourable settings,” continued Venkataraman.

The OIS feature, which is unique to Panasonic, helps achieve high-quality images in a wide range of shooting conditions such as telephoto, macro or low illumination, claims Al-Futtaim Panatech.

As part of the retail channel initiative, customers purchasing Lumix cameras from the specially designed kiosks will be entitled to a 128MB SD card free of charge.

As well as operating as Panasonic’s sole distributor in the UAE, Al-Futtaim Panatech also has five retail outlets of its own within the country.
