Al Jol signs up Alien

Al Jol Information Technology has signed a partnership agreement with RFID products and services vendor Alien Technology. Saudi Arabia-based Al Jol will represent Alien across the Kingdom, Qatar and the UAE.

“This agreement will further position Al Jol as a growing entity in the ID and security space. Our ongoing commitment to securing and managing the assets of governments and enterprises is a matter not to be neglected, and with the expertise of Alien in this field, Al Jol will be able to build upon its existing knowledge of identity management and infrastructure security to better serve our customers,” stated Nazih Naamani, chief operating officer at Al Jol.

“The Gulf region with its vast energy, financial and transportation infrastructures represents fertile ground for the application of standards-based RFID technology, currently gaining traction worldwide,” said Andrew Berger, VP international at Alien. “We anticipate a close working relationship with Al Jol IT as together we address the region’s considerable opportunities.”

Al Jol offers a wide range of IT services with expertise in multiple disciplines including business applications, infrastructure, security and outsourcing. The company offers consulting, systems integration and IT management services to customers from a variety of industries.

Alien positions itself as a provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) products for global customer in retail, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, transportation and other industries.

Alien offers a family of RFID readers for a variety of applications including supply chain management, logistics and anti-counterfeiting, to improve inventory management and reduce operating costs.
