Al Kaheel kicks off in Dubailand ‘eco zone’

Construction has begun on the US $435.2 million (AED1.6 billion) Al Kaheel development at the Eco Zone in Dubailand.

The project will see the construction of 400 villas as well as other facilities including an equine spa and therapy centre.

Construction has started on The Lagoons at the Riffa Views Signature Estates residential project in Bahrain.

GPZ-Sembawang, a joint venture of local GPZ and Singapore's Sembawang, is the main contractor.

The project has 258 two and three-bedroom townhouses, and four and five-bedroom villas. It is due for completion by mid-2009.
