Al Rajhi wins Ameera contract from Tameer

The construction company is set to build phase one of the Al Ameera Village in Ajman.

Tameer Holding has awarded a US $142 million (AED522 million) contract to Sharjah-based Al Rajhi Projects & Construction to build phase one of Al Ameera Village in Ajman.

Al Rajhi will build 41 residential buildings within the mixed-use development.

Tameer has issued a letter of acceptance to the contractor and work is expected to begin this month.

"Al Rajhi has a long history in construction and we are very pleased to welcome them on board," said Omar Ayesh, president, Tameer Holding.

"This is the first time we have worked together and I am convinced they can help us realise our ambitious plans for Al Ameera Village, which is one of the most important developments in the UAE right now. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the company."

When completed, Al Ameera Village, located off Emirates Road, will contain a five-star hotel, shopping mall, residential and business facilities.

Tameer Holding is developing projects in the UAE including Al Salam City in Umm Al Quwain. It also has Princess Tower and Elite Residence in Dubai Marina, Al Dana 1 & Al Dana 2, Al Shahd Tower in Emirates Hills, Al Jawzaa in International City, The Regal Tower in Business Bay, The Palace Towers in Dubai Silicon Oasis and the Imperial Residence in Jumeirah Village.
