Al Yousuf appointed authorised NEC reseller for UAE

NEC Computers International (CI) has appointed Al Yousuf Computers as its authorised reseller in the UAE for all NEC products.

NEC Computers International (CI), responsible for supplying the market with the NEC brand and the consumer market with the Packard Bell brand, has appointed Al Yousuf Computers as its authorised reseller in the UAE for all NEC products. Instrumental in driving the agreement is interFrontiers Services Ltd, the regional business development unit for NEC and Packard Bell. Although the company currently has a relatively low presence in the region with 5.5% market share, it has stated that it is ready to move into the market and rectify that situation. “We are certain that with interFRONTIERS’ expertise and the overall standing of the Al Yousuf Group in the IT business, we will achieve the highest possible penetration in the region and a significant increase in our market share,” stated Michel de Bievre, executive director, International Division, NEC CI. The company has also recently unveiled three expandable, rack-optimised server designs into the market.The overall regional business development and management of NEC CI within the region will be handled by InterFRONTIERS. The company will also be responsible for the recruiment of new channel partners, development and management of these channels, as well as offering sales, bids and tenders, and local marketing support. Commenting on the partnership with Al Yousuf, Lenia Iacovides, managing director, InterFRONTIERS stated: “We have known the Al Yousuf group for a long time now and we are confident that the strength of the Group in the IT business, the NEC products and our support will create a successful business proposition with extremely positive results for the three partners.”Director of Al Yousuf Computers, Suhail Zain ElDeen also added on the occasion that although PC pentration was still relatively modest in the region, it was slated to grow over the next few years. “This agreement will help us to capitalise on the demand for PCs in the market,” he stated.
