Almasa grabs exclusive Proview rights for UAE

Almasa IT Distribution has picked up the exclusive rights for the distribution of Proview LCD and CRT monitors in the UAE. Almasa will also sell Proview into other GCC countries on a non-exclusive basis and claims that the products will be priced at least 10% lower than competing brands in the market.

Charlies Chi, managing director at Proview Middle East, said: “Proview is delighted to have Almasa IT Distribution as our exclusive distributor for the UAE, authorised to sell the entire range of Proview LCD and CRT monitors. We understand that Almasa is a well-established and experienced distributor with a proven track record in the market. Together we look forward to making Proview a leading brand in the market.”

Proview claims to be one of the top four computer monitor manufacturers in the world. In addition to selling its products under the Proview name, the company’s products are also sold under other brand names through an extensive worldwide distribution network.

Frank Sheu, CEO at Almasa IT Distribution, said: “The exclusive distribution agreement with Proview Middle East marks yet another step towards our strategy to enhance customer value and extend geographical coverage. The agreement is a win-win situation for both sides.”

“It enables Proview to enter the Middle East market together with a strong distribution partner that provides in-depth knowledge of the regional channel partner infrastructure combined with the expertise of its sales and marketing force. For Almasa IT Distribution it means that we can provide an even wider choice of products to our customers,” he added.

Proview has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and set up its Middle East operations in Jebel Ali in 2003. Proview has its own logistics facility in Jebel Ali to stock and supply its products to distributors, thus reducing lead times. Proview also plans to set up a service centre in Jebel Ali to support end-users.
