AMD demonstrates Saudi Arabian commitment

Processor manufacturer AMD is on a mission to inspire both GITEX visitors and its Saudi partners at this year’s show as it looks to widen both its channel and also its customer reach across the Kingdom.

Processor manufacturer AMD is on a mission to inspire both GITEX visitors and its Saudi partners at this year’s show as it looks to widen both its channel and also its customer reach across the Kingdom.

“We are promoting the corporate values of openness, leadership and superior architectures,” explained Gaith Kadir, AMD’s Middle East and Africa manager. “In addition, we are urging our strategic partners to promote their AMD-based products to Saudi buyers; from standard and blade servers, through to PCs and notebooks.”

AMD is attending this year’s GITEX gathering in Riyadh because, as Kadir puts it, “Saudi Arabia is the single biggest market in the region and it is a very strategic and important market for AMD. Being one of the most important shows in the region this will be an excellent opportunity for us to access the Saudi market and demonstrate commitment to the Saudi buyers.”

AMD’s team believes being involved in such a high profile event in the Kingdom gives the company ‘a better mindshare in the market’, as well as helping it to extend its relationships with primary customers and generate new business leads.

Kadir says the firm has key Saudi objectives for the next year, beginning with expanding its business in the public sector arena. “Secondly, we’ll be working with different strategic computer makers and vendors to ensure the local availability of AMD-based products and to educate the market more about our offerings and technologies,” explains Kadir.
