US tech giant says launch marks the first time UAE consumers will be able to get latest version at the same time as other major global markets
Apple has said that it will start selling its new iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2 series in the UAE from Saturday September 17.
The US tech giant said that sales would begin at 8am at its store in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates.
It’s the first time that UAE consumers will be able to secure the latest version of the iPhone at the same time as other key launch markets around the world.
Customers in the UAE will be able to order iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus beginning Friday, September 9 from Apple and from Etisalat.
The new iPhone comes in silver, gold, rose gold and the new black finish in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models, starting at AED 2,599, while a new jet black finish will be offered exclusively on the 128GB and 256GB models.
The new iPhone 7 will be available in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia from Friday, September 23.
The new Apple-designed wireless AirPods, including charging case, will be available for AED 649 from Apple.com and Apple Stores beginning in late October. All iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models will include EarPods with Lightning Connector and a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter, also sold separately at Apple.com and Apple Stores, for AED 119 and AED 39, respectively.
