Networking vendor D-Link has inked a deal with distributor Aptec for its ‘Digi-Link’ range of passive networking products. The distributor will deliver the Digi-Link product range across the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait.

K. R. Naik, chairman and managing director at D-Link, said: “Aptec is a strong player in the distribution of IT and telecommunications products as well as distributor for D-Link’s active products in the Middle East. This alliance will help D-Link to leverage on Aptec’s vast reach and channel expertise across GCC countries.”

Aptec claims it will assist D-Link in efforts to build and grow the ‘Digi-Link’ brand through its focused network of dealers and system integrators. The two will also run a series of training programmes, events and roadshows across the region.

Bahaa Salah, managing director at Aptec, added: “We are excited about this relationship. This will enhance Aptec’s portfolio of quality products. We will be providing the necessary support to help penetrate the market and emerge as the undisputed leader.”

The ‘Digi-Link’ brand of passive products include the end-to-end range of copper and fibre structured cabling products. Aptec and D-Link are planning to hold a launch event for all major networking resellers and system integrators in Dubai to witness the range of Digi-Link of passive products.
