Born in Jerusalem in 1946, Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh has been active in government service and has acted as interpreter for the President of the United Arab Emirates since 1968.

Nusseibeh graduated from the University of Cambridge, UK, with a Masters degree in Economics. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) University of Cambridge UK and  Master of Arts, University of Cambridge UK.

Other activities include President of the Alliance Francaise, Abu-Dhabi (1975-) ; President of the Abu-Dhabi Classical Music Concert Committee (1998-); Member of the Board of Trustees, Emirates National School and president of the Abu Dhabi Friends of Richard Wagner Society.

Among the awards picked up by Nusseibeh include a Commander of the Order of Victoria (CVO) from the UK, a Chevalier of the Legion d’Honneur (France), the Grand Officer Star of Italian Solidarity and the Abu Dhabi Award, in 2007.
