Sheikha Hanadi bint Nasser Al Thani is arguably one of Qatar’s most successful businesswomen. She is the founder and chairperson of Amwal, CEO of Al Waab City, a $1.8bn real estate development project and deputy CEO of Nasser Bin Khaled Al Thani & Sons Group.
Sheikha Hanadi started her career as a lecturing assistant in the Economics Department of Qatar University before establishing the Qatar Ladies Investment Company (now known as Amwal) in 1998, which was the first investment firm licensed by the Qatar Central Bank. She serves on multiple boards including the Arab Women’s International Forum, the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University, the Arab Business Angels Network, INJAZ Qatar, INJAZ Al Arab, Dana Gas PJSC, Qatar National competitiveness council and Standard Chartered Bank’s regional Advisory Board.
