A graduate of industrial management from King Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz University for Petroleum and Minerals and his doctorate from Canada’s Concordia University, Ayedh Al Qahtani leads Sumou, one of Saudi Arabia’s most prominent real estate companies which he founded in 2008.
The company is affiliated with projects like Induscom, Al Jodi, Rofan and the Makkah Gate as part of the $27bn development project of the holy city of Mekkah. The project which will take 15 years complete is along the Makkah-Jeddah highway and will include a university, medical city and an administrative district covering 83 sq km. A residential project will be established east of the government department complex covering more than 1 mn sq m.
Al Qahtani originally founded Rikaz Real Estate Company in 1997, and also founded Al Oula Real Estate in 2002, alongside the Al Fozan and Al Muhaidib family companies.
