Arabtec Construction LLC was awarded a US$142m contract by Emaar Properties PJSC for the construction of a new development project in the Arabian Ranches in Dubai.
Arabtec Construction LLC plans to design and construct 68 Polo Homes at the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club of Arabian Ranches. The construction of the villas will be completed in phases, with an aim to finalise in 2010.
Plans for the development were masterminded in liaison with Emaar Properties PJSC, which issued a letter of acceptance to Arabtec last week for the construction of the villas. The terms of the new project will push the number of villas currently being built by Arabtec to approximately 2700.
According to report over 700 of these villas are commissioned by Emaar Properties PJSC, more than 1000 villas dedicated to the Dubai Silicon Oasis Project, and the remaining 940 villas reserved for the Mohamed Bin Rashid Housing Programme.
The construction company has completed more than 6300 villas over the last six years with various developers. Arabtec Construction LLC is responsible for a number of high-rise developments.
The firm has been a player in the regional construction industry over the last 30 years, with a workforce consisting of more than 37,000 employees.
