Aramex makes Internet shopping easier

ARAMEX has introduced a service called ‘Shop ‘n Ship’ that is intended to make Internet shopping easier for consumers in the region.

The service enables each customer to get a mailing address in North America through Aramex’s office in New York. Every Internet purchase made by the customer is then delivered as a domestic order to the ARAMEX New York office. After that, it is forwarded through the ARAMEX network to the Middle East.

“Shop ’n Ship will streamline the order-delivery process and significantly reduce costs to the consumer,” said Iyad Kamal, express product and quality manager, ARAMEX International. “It will also increase the overall speed of the delivery process and provide consumers with more choice.”

The service costs an annual fee of US$75. Courier charges to the Middle East from the USA are presumably then priced at the normal rate, although arabian-business.com could not confirm this.

One of the major benefits of the service will be the ability to receive orders from the many sites that currently only post orders to addresses within North America.
