Arburg focus on Gulf

German injection moulding specialist looks to invest in ME region.

German machine construction specialist, Arburg, has officially opened its new regional office in Dubai, in order to better serve it Middle Eastern customers. The company, who manufacture injection moulding machines, is planning focused investment over the coming year in the gulf region despite the credit crunch, as it believes the region will have high demand for its portfolio of products.

“The Middle East region is of high importance to Arburg's future. This region increasingly covers the entire spectrum of producing and refining crude oil, production of plastic raw material and plastics processing. In addition to the packaging industry, which has traditionally been playing an instrumental role in the GCC economies, the production of technical moulded parts and products for medical technology is rapidly expanding,” explained Helmut Heinson, managing director sales, Arburg.

“This region is of a great significance to our global operations. This has urged us to open up a regional office in the UAE. For the first time, we are participating at Arabplast with our own stand at which we are displaying a vast range of medical solutions with a high degree of reproducibility,” added Heinson.
