The two-day electronic music festival Ultra Abu Dhabi has been postponed amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, it has been announced.
In a statement issued on Monday, the event’s organisers said the postponement was a response to wider health precautions and travel restrictions that have been put in place as a result of the coronavirus.
Ticket holders will be able to claim a full refund, the organisers added.
“In line with our commitment to deliver the ultimate Ultra experience to our festival goers and as part of the local and international measures taken to ensure the health and safety of the public, Ultra Abu Dhabi 2020 will be postponed,” a spokesperson said.
“The decision has been taken due to the travel restrictions imposed by some countries and airlines for individuals and groups,” the spokesperson added. “We look forward to sharing the new dates in the near future.”

UMF organisers had previously said the event would go on, but with various medical precautions in place.
With the announcement, UMF joins a number of other events that have so far been cancelled or postponed, including Yogafest Al Ain, the DJ Mag Conference in Abu Dhabi and the Dubai International Boat Show.
