ASPGulf unveils hosting service

ASPGulf has introduced a managed hosting service offering to the Middle East. Built to provide secure outsourcing for local businesses, the company is looking to differentiate itself by customising its service for each user.

ASPGulf has introduced a managed hosting service offering, called hSPGulf, to the Middle East. Built to provide secure and reliable outsourcing for local businesses, the company is looking to differentiate itself from the region’s other hosting operations by customising its service for each user.“Our hosting service packages are completely customised to individual requirements. They are built from the ground up to support a customer’s business. This means client consultation is not just an option, but a necessity,” explains Tony Sparks, CEO of ASPGulf.According to Hasan Ali Darwish, president of Al Bawardi Enterprises & chairman of ASPGulf, this customisation is key as, currently, local companies are forced to select from a predefined list of hosting options. “Previously, companies seeking to host their online presence in the UAE had to ensure their requirements fitted the host’s package. It was a case of package A or package B,” he says.Initially, hSPGulf will be touting three different hosting models — dedicated hosting, co-location hosting and shared hosting. Just which path a customer takes will depend on a number of factors, such as budget, security infrastructure requirements and connectivity. “Businesses that view their internet presence as absolutely critical to success, such as an e-commerce or ERP application, will opt for a dedicated hosting environment,” , says Sparks.Whichever option users take, hSPGulf says it is committed to delivering high levels of management. As Darwish says, “by managed we don’t mean that we will re-boot your server once a month. We shoulder the responsibility for a client’s entire online presence.”
