Chitro Majumdar is the founding Chief Science Officer of RsRL (R-square RiskLab), where he specializes in financial and market risk, credit risk and regulations, climate finance, and strategic investment risk quantification. With over 20 years of experience, Chitro is a trusted global expert in these areas.

In 2010, Chitro established RsRL in partnership with an ETH-Zürich mathematics professor emeritus. The firm offers independent strategic risk advisory services and specializes in organizing consortia for ministries and CEOs. Chitro has advised multinational funds, pension funds from Switzerland, Italy, Oman, and the UAE, as well as central banks and the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA). He has also collaborated with major banks, (re)insurance entities, and investment bodies in New York, London, and Zürich, building a strong network within the BFSI and energy sectors.

Chitro's academic achievements include research in mathematical science (risk, finance, reinsurance) from ETH Zürich. He has made notable contributions, such as proving Stochastic Markov chain Monte Carlo Methods as a non-linear theory at Harvard in 2004. Chitro introduced the Dynamic Financial Analysis (DFA) tool in 2007 from Zürich.

Recently, Chitro has focused on projects involving institutional investment risk, counterparty risk, derivatives, currency risk mitigation strategies, capital, liquidity modeling, and asset liability management (ALM) for financial institutions, including sovereign wealth funds and pension funds. He is also a senior academic researcher in Applied Probability Theory and is currently involved in designing algorithms on AI ethics and bias concepts in the US and Luxembourg.

Chitro is known for his active participation in AI ethics discussions, chairing panels such as the European Commission's AI Policy panel in Brussels (2017) and the ECS-Brussels's Industry Advisory Panel in Bucharest (2018). His mathematical theory, Delbaen-Majumdar 2023 on Independent Problem Approximations, has been published by the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS).
