Avengers theme park ride unveiled at Dubai Comic Con

IMG Worlds of Adventure unveiled the new Marvel ride at Middle East Film and Comic Con 2015

Avengers theme park ride unveiled at Dubai Comic Con

Developers of the IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park gave comic fans a sneak peak of a brand new ride at Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) 2015.

Developers of the 1.5 million-square-foot development, set to be the world’s largest themed entertainment destination when completed later this year, unveiled a teaser of its ‘Avengers: Battle of Ultron’ ride at the exhibition in Dubai at the weekend.

Using state-of-the-art Oculus Rift virtual reality headsets, fans visiting the IMG Worlds of Adventure stand at MEFCC were able to experience what the actual ride will be like.

“The ride will blend cutting-edge stereoscopic 3D media with a highly detailed, realistic physical set and explosive special effects designed to create a fully immersive experience,” said a representative of the Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group, developers of IMG Worlds of Adventure.

“We were  thrilled to be unveiling our ‘Avengers: Battle of Ultron’ ride at the Middle East Film and Comic Con this year as we know that our future guests, and especially loyal Marvel fans understand and appreciate the significance of this epic launch,” added the representative.

The unveiling of the ride comes ahead of the global release of Marvel’s 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' movie, which opens in cinemas on April 30 across the Middle East.

The mega themed entertainment destination, which is slated to open this year within City of Arabia, along Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road, will include four themed zones – Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley - Dinosaur Adventure and IMG Boulevard.

Arabian Business: why we're going behind a paywall

I'm one of the investors who spent millions in City of Arabia, Metro Tower. I paid IMGG all my life saving and have been waiting since 2006. They don't build anything! Don't trust the media propaganda they start every on and on. These are just to take your money!!

IMGG are not trustworthy!!

You my friend are a troll. For all the people in that part of the world who don't know what a troll is let me give you a short description."A troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion".
And if your claims are true then go take it up with the Real Estate Regulatory Agency and not try to put it up over here just so you can try your pathetic attempt to embarrass others. I think its cool that Dubai is investing in all these big names and people like you are just jealous that the same is not happening in wherever the hell your from. Keep up the good work Dubai!!!

I drive by City of Arabia everyday on my way to work and have been witness to the amazing progress that has taken place.! The theme park is almost done and you can see a giant coaster that has just been put up. My kids and myself cannot wait for it open as we are huge MARVEL and Dinosaur fans!
We were lucky enough to visit the IMG Worlds of Adventure stand at Comic Con this past weekend and a great time we all had.
Well done IMG! Keep up the good work!

Johaness is telling the truth. Steve has no idea what is going on there. I've been there, very little progress

Try offering an investment opportunity to serious, experienced buyers by the developers of this theme park and the market sentiment is crystal clear!......Walk away!
This is just another Global Village in shiny packaging.

@Steve- Sorry but you obviously don't know anything about the off plan fiasco that left many bereft of their money during the crash here in 2008/9. I lost a huge amount of hard earnt money and I'm not a troll thankyou. Sometimes investors, especially offshore have no other choice than to go off topic. Please save your condemnation for those who are deserving of it. Personally I find your response to Johaness extremely harsh. Educate yourself, you throw RERA at him as if they are the Knights on White horses, news flash pal, they are limited when it comes to arbitration with developers and investors. On a positive note HH has done a great deal to change the way things are done ref investors and developers and well done on the theme park great progress.

Let me summarize the situation for the "City of Arabia"

IMG World of Adventure (Marvel etc.) is moving ahead.
Avenue 353 villa project is moving ahead.

Wadi Walk and all other promised developments - on hold for the foreseeable future, most likely will be redesigned, and investors moved from original projects into a new one.
The huge mall they promised, I don't see it happening for a long time. I imagine they will outsource this to Al Futtaim (MAF) and will be much smaller scale.

If I had invested a lot of money into Wadi Walk, I would be pressurizing IMGG to move my investment into Avenue 353, it's the only residential project of theirs moving ahead. Right now, they are selling to new investors, when they should be compensating old investors.

As one person pointed out, Marvel = Disney. Investors can only hope that Disney decides to do something there. IMGG do have a very large area of land. I believe the indoor theme park will be very successful.
