Bahrain on Monday launched ticket sales for the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, with a 20 percent discount available until January 27.

The event takes place at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) from April 14 to 16 next year.

The “Early Bird” discount covers tickets to the Main Grandstand and Turn One Grandstand at the BIC) and will see prices reduced from $400 (BD150) to $318 (BD120), organisers announced in a statement carried by Bahrain’s state news agency BNA on Tuesday.

There is also a 10 percent reduction on ticket prices to the Batelco Grandstand, University Grandstands and Victory Grandstands, and a 50 percent discount on tickets for children aged 12 years old and under.

All tickets offer three-day access to the Grand Prix weekend, which will see racing from major international and regional championships.

BIC CEO Sheikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said he expects tickets to be more popular than ever and urged fans to get to booking quickly to avoid disappointment as grandstand tickets reportedly sell out faster every year.

“We have been overwhelmed by the support for the Grand Prix over the years, but it is clear that the night race has brought in a new breed of racing fan to BIC,” he added.

BIC will be presenting family entertainment, including world famous recording artists, as well as music stars and extensive fun throughout the weekend.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17-450000.
