Bahrain is set to attract some world-renowned golfers and celebrity sportsmen next month at a two day Golf tournament organised by the country’s Economic Development Board.
Among those attending are golfing pros Paul Casey, Colin Montgomerie and Thomas Bjorn, who will face-off over 18 holes, and will be joined by retired UK tennis player Tim Henman, American soccer star Joe Montana, and football aces Gianluca Vialli and Ruud Gullit.
The event, which is taking place at the Royal Golf Club’s Montgomerie Course, is just a week before the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix, which is expected to draw hordes of tourists. Staging the event will be sports, fashion and media company IMG.
Other activities set to take place over the two days include a community tennis coaching initiative led by Tim Henman, and a community football coaching programme. For all the latest sports news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
