Bahrain Premier confirms road camera plans
WATCHING: Surveillance cameras are to be installed across the country to boost road safety.

Bahrain’s Premier and Crown Prince on Monday confirmed plans to install surveillance cameras across the island, in order to boost road safety in the country.

They vowed to improve services, infrastructure and the country's transportation network "to preserve lives, protect property, reduce accidents and avoid economic losses", according to Bahrain-based paper the Gulf Daily News.

HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa also discussed lauded royal directives in building momentum and motivation for citizens to participate in the national march.

HRH the Premier also lauded the Crown Prince's international scholarship programme, which is designed to provide the nation with well-trained and qualified young people to participate in the development process, and take initiatives to build a promising future for the country, the Gulf Daily News said.
