More companies begin hiring staff again and have halted lay-offs - Labour Minister.
The number of jobless in Bahrain dropped slightly last month as more firms begin to recruit staff again, official figures show.
The official rate of unemployment in the kingdom fell to 3.7 percent, from 3.8 percent in January, the Gulf Daily News reports on Tuesday.
"The slight decrease was due to ascending employment trends and decreasing lay-offs," Labour Minister Dr Majeed Al Alawi told the paper.
Some 5,306 people were registered unemployed last month, while 1,963 people found jobs, and the number of vacancies in the country increased by 863.
The number of job-seekers who enrolled in government training programmes also increased to 1,400 people, from 1,122 in January, the paper reported.
