Developers of Bharian Financial Harbour have appointed Al Hamad as the contractors of the project's first phase
In line with the commitment of the developers of the US$1.3 billion Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH) to involve the local business community in the pioneering project, Al Hamad Contracting Company, the contractors of the first phase of the global financial and business city has announced that it has selected the Bahrain-based Eastern Asphalt & Mixed Concrete Company (EAMCC) to supply ready-mix concrete for the development.
The ready-mix concrete supplied by EAMCC will be used for the construction of the Financial Centre of BFH, which includes The Financial Mall, the Dual Towers and the Harbour House. The ready-mix concrete will also be used in the construction of the Bahrain International Insurance Centre (BIIC), also part of the first phase of the project.
The agreement for the supply of ready-mix concrete was signed by Thamin Fakhouri, managing director, Al Hamad Contracting Company and Mohsen Ali Al A’ali, executive vice president, EAMCC.
“We congratulate EAMCC for bagging the contract. We hope that the work will be implemented within the scheduled time so that the BFH project which will enhance the reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain is completed in time,” said Fakhouri.
“We are confident that a project of this magnitude will throw open many opportunities for local players as work progresses. Our experience in this market over the years has helped us acquaint with many professional local companies focused on quality and integrity in their work,” he added.
“It is a great pleasure for us to be part of this pioneering project. As we are professionals in ready-mix concrete we hope to implement all our work within the scheduled time frame and according to the specifications,” said Al A’ali.
Thanking Al Hamad for selecting EAMMC to be part of the prestigious BFH development, Al A’ali explained that the contract is a significant milestone for the company and would add value to its reputation in the local and the regional market.
