A new initiative has been launched in Bahrain to help young entrepreneurs turn their ideas into businesses.

Intilaqa (Start-up) is the brainchild of the Nasser bin Hamad Foundation and aims to contribute to the national economy. A series of specialised programmes will help support young Bahraini entrepreneurs as they seek to enter the scientific and technical sectors.

The start-up owners and aspirational business leaders taking part in the courses will be given important support and information in financial and legal matters, as well as mentoring and sector-specific advice.

The scheme will focus on a number of specific industries within science and technology, including IT, telecommunications, e-commerce, tourism and leisure, retail commerce, and media and light industries.
