Dubai ruler holds talks to strengthen international business ties

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has held a meeting with representatives of major global firms.

The Dubai Majlis - Business Leaders Forum for Economic Growth with High Impact event at Qasr Al Bahr in Dubai aimed to strengthen the UAE's strong partnership with the private sector, a statement said.

Sheikh Mohammed said that the partnership with the private sector has been a key pillar of the UAE’s "flourishing business sector".

He said that the UAE is keen to establish a strong dialogue with international firms to highlight new opportunities that can lead to productive partnerships, and help investors expand their business in the region using the UAE as a hub.

He added that the UAE is committed to supporting the international investment community by providing a conducive environment that ensures a high level of security and transparency.

Sheikh Mohammed also attended part of the discussions at the event that saw the participation of more than 100 business leaders and heads of government entities while also discussing ways of promoting small and medium enterprises.

At the event, he was briefed about 40 proposals presented by business leaders that highlight priorities for the next phase of growth.
